Job Description

  • Establish a collaborative relationship with all key healthcare and market access stakeholders (e.g., BAG, trust physicians, health insurances, politicians, industry associations etc.) to shape pro-actively the Swiss biosimilar healthcare policy system and access environment.
  • Responsible for the development of Pricing & Reimbursement strategies and their accurate implementation: accountable for achieving best launch and in-market prices according to the market situation, aligned with local management decisions and Global Biopharma Reference Price decisions.
  • Understand individual access stakeholder needs and situations to then develop tailored biosimilar access strategies and approaches (e.g., innovative pricing systems) taking the entire Sandoz portfolio into account.
  • Drive and support negotiations with local market access stakeholders to ensure measures are in place that allow an appropriate use of biosimilars.
  • Adapt global budget impact model to local market situation to quantify and communicate biosimilar value proposition.
  • Support the development of communication tools increase awareness of biosimilars and highlighting the (economic) benefit of the use of biosimilars to key stakeholders and the general public.
  • Drive and own education activities with local market access stakeholders to ensure a sound understanding of biosimilars; drive and support education of policy makers to ensure understanding of biosimilars and requirements for appropriate use.
  • Contribute to business strategy with an understanding of the impact caused by competitors‘ actions.
  • Provide accurate qualitative and quantitative input into Budget and Strategic Planning. • Manage and update local and global databases relevant to P&R.
  • Interact with internal key stakeholders like Finance, Medical and Marketing to develop and implement innovative solutions.

Minimum requirements

  • University degree in natural sciences such as pharmacology, molecular biology medicine, economics or law (Master level)
  • Experience with market access and relevant procedures and strategies.
  • Fluent in German and English, ideally strong in French
  • Experience with market access and relevant procedures and strategies.
  • Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics
  • Financial experience, good commercial understanding
  • Solid understanding of Swiss health care, regulatory environment, of drug P&R and listing. processes.
  • Ability to develop trust-based relationships with government officials, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, moderation and analytical skills.
